The BOPPPS model is a key lesson planning component of the Instructional Skills Workshop (face-to-face intensive workshop). This narrated module and accompanying quick reference infographic introduces participants in our online version of the Instructional Skills Workshop to the BOPPPS model with examples of components that are applicable to the online learning environment in particular.
I created the overall design and script for this module. The graphics and narration were provided by the Instructional Technology Resources Centre, Western University.

Rather than simply describing the components of BOPPPS, the information on the infographic is designed to emphasize learner-centredness at two levels:
- learner-centredness (for the instructor): Each panel emphasizes what the instructor can gain from each of the components of the BOPPPS model. These are instructor objectives for each component.
- learner-centredness (for the student): Each panel provides examples of what students can gain from each of the components of the BOPPPS model in order to drive home that the ultimate focus is on student learning. These are student outcomes for each component.
